Brigitte Wurzer
Brigitte Wurzer was born in 1996 in Lienz, East Tyrol, and is currently studying choral conducting with Alois Glassner and pursuing a master's degree in Catholic and Protestant Church Music at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. Her previous teachers have included Klaus Kuchling and Johannes Ebenbauer (organ), Thomas Kiefer and Florian Maierl (choral conducting), and Günter Haumer (voice training). She has also received important inspiration from Sian Edwards in orchestral conducting and Johannes Mertl in children's choir conducting. She also studied violin with Raphael Kasprian at the Johann-Joseph-Fux-Konservatorium in Graz and musicology at the University of Vienna. She has attended master classes in choral conducting with Erwin Ortner, Yuval Weinberg, and Barnaby Smith.
Since 2022, Brigitte Wurzer has been the church music director of the Jesuit Church in Innsbruck and since 2023 the director of the chamber choir “Collegium Vocale Innsbruck”.
